Shorewood Rocker

This rocker is named after the neighborhood that my wife Christine and I lived in while attending architecture school. The Shorewood is extremely comfortable with its combination of a sculpted seat and flexible backbraces, that rotate, allowing for hours of comfortable sitting. In addition, the contoured armrests support your arms while reading and lounging. This rocker is a version of Hal Taylor’s original design. Hal graciously shared his designs and was very helpful in advising me on my first rockers.

Shown in cherry with ebony accents, this chair is typically made with domestic hardwoods, such as: walnut, cherry and maple that incorporate accents made of ebony, bubinga, walnut and maple. The chair is finished with several coats of a tung oil resin blend that will provide years of beauty and durability.

The Shorewood is made in three common sizes, providing a comfortable fit from petite to tall. Customized sizing is also available.

The Small chair is comfortable for people ranging from 5'-0" To 5'-6"
The Medium chair is comfortable for people ranging from 5'-7" To 5'-11"
The Large chair is comfortable for people ranging from 6'-0" To 6'-6"

Price (assuming the use of "plain" domestic hardwoods)  $4500
